National Savings & Investments (NS&I) declared the August 2025 winners. Two lucky punters have bagged the 1 million jackpots in the Premium Bond August 2025 prize draw. A winner from Bedfordshire purchased their winning bond back in 2008 and holds a modest sum of 7,000 pounds in Premium Bonds. The Bond number is 148YD123622.
However, the second winner of the August 2025 does not live in the UK, and the NS&I lists them as being based ‘overseas’. The second winner purchased their lucky bond back in 2013 and holds the amount of 50,000 worth of the bond. The Bond number is 205XQ030808.
Millions of savers may want to check if they have won the prize, as there are more than six million payouts this month. NS&I provides 75 prizes worth 100,000 pounds. Savers having more Premium Bonds have a maximum chance of winning the prize; however, those with fewer still have a chance to win.
A winner who only has 750 Pounds in Premium Bonds has scooped 100,000 from West Scotland.
Andrew Westhead, NS&I’s retail director, said that their Central Bedfordshire winner shows that someone doesn’t need to have the full amount invested to win big, as every 1 pound Bond has a similar chance of winning the 1 million jackpot.
You can check your account through the NS&I website. To find out whether you have won a Premium Bond prize, you will need to dig out your holders’ information. You can find your holders’ number on your Bond record, in the app.
In this month, August, there were a total of 6,005,404 prizes worth 396,356,500 pounds.
