Christmas chocolates bargains could be picked by those who plan the festive season. One of the Cadbury hits, popular amongst most households in the UK, has found its way into the online shelves of a leading low end supermarket.
Poundland is selling the festive selection boxes of Cadbury at a high discount. The 25p chocolate boxes are retaining a staggering £2.25 lower as compared to a UK rival chain of supermarkets. It costs 125g and contains an assortment of well-known sweet items, though it has since sold out on the Poundland store as the site has become ‘browsing only’.
The assortment box holds a combination of the Dairy Milk Freddo Caramel, Fudge Crunchie, Dairy Milk Little Bar, Treatsize Buttons and Wispa of Cadbury. The same choice box is selling in Iceland at £2.50.
Poundland is an early kick-starter of the festive season as it has already shown it’s Christmas Food and Drink range. The line included chocolates, sweets, biscuits, stockings, decorations and jumpers, according to the Mirror.
The Christmas chocolate is especially appetising and there is a short-term collection of yearly favourites. Poundland is also offering selection boxes of Kitkat and Haribo in addition to Cadbury selection boxes.
The only hit is that you will have to go to the local store, Poundland to get these bargain buys as the supermarket online is not yet ready to actually make purchases. Nevertheless, all product details can be reviewed on the site.
A statement posted on the Poundland site announced: “From the 16th September, our website will be for browsing only and Poundland Perks will be closing.”
The message continues by stating:” While we know most of our online shoppers also visit us regularly in stores (thank you!), we know this will be disappointing to all who’ve been using our online ordering service.”
The company emphasizes that it is aiming to make its stores simpler and more focused and plans to add more £1 collections and new products to be bought every week. It has announced that it will cease to offer an online delivery service as of the 16th September 2025.
The company will also stop using the Perks app, but reward vouchers will continue to be used in-store up to 15 January 2026. The message ends with the following: “We’ll miss you shopping on our website, but it will still be here for you so that you can check out our exciting year round and seasonal product ranges and find all our store locations and opening times.
“We really look forward to welcoming you to one of our hundreds of stores right across the UK.”
