The wait for the annual iPhone Day has now finished! Apple is looking forward to launching its most anticipated iPhone as the tech giant bets on a thinner and lighter “air” design.
Apple’s “Awe-Dropping” event is scheduled to kick off on Tuesday, with phone sales following a few days later. A refreshed range of four phones will include the thinner and lighter iPhone 17, the powerful iPhone 17 Pro, and a big-screened iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Apple’s event will reveal the next-generation iPhone 17 series, and this event is likely to be the biggest one of the year.
Rumours and leaks pointed to a new A19 chipset, a faster 120Hz refresh rate OLED display, an updated camera system, and the list seems to be never-ending.
The main model, iPhone 17, will be a modest upgrade on the previous year’s iPhone 16, with little twist in the design and features of the model. The model is expected to launch with a bigger display of 6.3 inches.
The iPhone 17 Air seems to be the biggest detour from Apple’s past releases. The iPhone 17 will take on the same name as Apple’s popular MacBook Air. The iPhone 17 features a more lightweight design titanium and aluminium frame.
The smaller size of the phone indicates that it might have a smaller battery capacity than its peers. It is expected that on its backside, there might be a single 48 megapixel camera.
Both the iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro Max are likely to come with more advanced microprocessor chips and larger battery capacities than their peer models. According to some sources, the Pro Max model may come with a larger 6.9-inch display. Both models, Pro and Pro Max, will feature an upgraded camera model. The iPhone Pro Max model will feature an upgraded telephoto lens with 48 MP, a more advanced selfie camera, and up to 8X optical zoom.
All the models will rely on Apple’s new iOS 26 software, which will be released at the time of the phones’ launch. The software features Apple Intelligence AI technology.
The iPhone 17 Pro model is expected to come with a vapour chamber cooling system for enhanced thermal performance. So, the users can push the boundaries like playing 3D games or recording ProRes video for a longer time without any struggle.
The iPhone 17 Pro models are anticipated to get a new anti-reflective glass; thus, the phone will be more scratch-resistant compared to the current Ceramic Shield Display.
